President Bola Tinubu has called upon security agencies to heighten their efforts in preserving the nation’s territorial integrity. This plea was articulated during the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna State.
Acknowledging the persistent battle against insecurity, President Tinubu underscored the continued military operations that have upheld a semblance of tranquility throughout the nation.
At the pinnacle of the ceremony, which featured the trooping and presentation of colors, President Tinubu, accompanied by Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, assumed the role of the distinguished guest of honor.
Attending the event were service chiefs, members of the Federal Executive Council, and federal legislators.
President Tinubu observed the impressive parade executed by the academy’s troops, signifying the retirement of the old colors and the introduction of new national and regimental colors.
In accordance with military tradition, officers performed a vibrant march-past, emblematic of the academy’s six decades of service. Following the parade, President Tinubu delivered an address, lauding the armed forces for their commitment to national security and progress.
He implored them to persevere until adversaries are subdued, reiterating his administration’s dedication to fulfilling the armed forces’ constitutional responsibilities by meeting their requirements.
