Once more, Kaduna State grapples with calamity as alleged bandits perpetrate an assault, this time seizing a minimum of 14 persons from the Dogon Noma – Ungwan Gamo settlement in the Kajuru Local Government Area. This distressing event closely follows the abduction of 61 individuals from the Buda community, also within Kajuru Local Government, merely a week prior.
Although awaiting official verification from law enforcement entities, indigenous sources depict a grim narrative of the attack. As per Sani Musa, a youth leader within the vicinity, a sizable contingent of armed bandits descended upon the Dogon Noma community in the early hours of Saturday morning, unleashing a volley of gunshots and pandemonium. Amidst the ensuing chaos, fourteen individuals were seized, while one sustained injuries.
The boldness of the assault underscores the mounting insecurity afflicting the area and the escalating audacity of criminal factions. Kaduna State’s communities persist in enduring the brunt of such violence, grappling with the trauma and distress inflicted by these merciless perpetrators.
