A minimum of 87 individuals have reportedly been seized following an assault by marauders on the Kajuru Station community in Kajuru Local Government Area. The attackers purportedly ransacked shops and residences within the vicinity during the onslaught. Despite the Kaduna State police authorities withholding confirmation of the incident, Ibrahim Gajere, the Chairman of Kajuru Council, attested to the attack occurring on Sunday night, transpiring just a day after another abduction where 14 individuals were snatched by marauders at Dogon Noma community, also within Kajuru LGA.
The vicinities of Kajuru and Chikun Local Government Areas, sited in the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, have been besieged by a spate of severe attacks of late. This recent incident further compounds the disconcerting trend, which encompasses the abduction of 287 students from a school in the Kuriga community in Chikun.
