After almost 11 months, almost a year after, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), has distributed food items and other relief materials to about Twenty-three thousand Victims of the 2022 flood disaster in Niger state.
In the Shiroro Local Government Area of the state, thirty beneficiaries received food and non-food items.
The Director General of, the National Emergency Management Agency, Mustapha Habib said A total of Six hundred and sixty thousand eight hundred and eighty-four (660,884) Households were verified and targeted to benefit from the special intervention across the 36 states and Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
Although the relief is coming almost a year after this household suffered from the devastation caused by flood, the Deputy Governor of Niger State Yakubu Garba who was represented by his Chief of Staff Bello Ibrahbelievesieve the intervention will alleviate the suffering of the victims
