S/Court on Delta Governorship election

In a panel of five justices, where four were physically present in the court, the fifth justice submitted his judgment remotely. The apex court proceeded to dismiss the appeal of the SDP candidate against Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. The unanimous decision was based on the lack of merit in the appeal, and no costs were awarded.
 
Subsequently, the panel addressed the case of the Labour Party candidate against Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. The candidate’s lawyer requested that the bail be continued, and the prosecution did not object. Justice Mauzu, presiding over the case, granted the request.
 
The apex court, once again, ruled that the appeal filed by the Labour Party candidate lacked merit in challenging the election of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. The unanimous judgment resulted in the dismissal of the appeal, and no costs were awarded. The decisions reflected the court’s careful consideration of the cases presented before them.
