Kolapo Oladeji, the coordinating comptroller, revealed that customs officers halted the convoy at the Kajji community along the Sokoto-Kebbi thoroughfare.

As per Oladeji’s account, the intercepted cargo of edibles was en route to Niger Republic via the Kebbi border.

In a resolute stance, Oladeji underscored the NSC’s unwavering dedication to thwarting the illicit export of sustenance from the nation, particularly given the extant circumstances.

This interception underscores the vigilance of the NSC’s border patrol unit in Sokoto, a pivotal area for monitoring transnational movements.

Such interventions are pivotal in safeguarding Nigeria’s food security and forestalling the unauthorized exportation of vital provisions.

The NSC’s endeavors are aimed at ensuring the retention of domestic food supplies within the nation, especially during periods of escalated demand and potential scarcities.

This interception serves as a stern warning to those contemplating engaging in unlawful cross-border food trade, reaffirming the NSC’s resolve to uphold regulatory protocols.

In sum, the NSC remains vigilant and forward-thinking in its endeavors to quash illicit activities along Nigeria’s borders, thereby safeguarding national interests and security.
