Mrs. Tinubu, an educationist, underscores the significance of education in achieving gender equity, asserting that it forms the foundation of a genuinely peaceful society. She believes education has the power to transform hearts and minds, urging a commitment to providing children with knowledge, values, and skills that go beyond academic excellence, emphasizing empathy, tolerance, and respect for diversity.
 
Highlighting the theme’s relevance, she encourages Nigerians to embrace transformative learning and invest in inclusivity to instill the values of peace and tolerance in children, envisioning a Nigeria marked by peace, progress, and prosperity.
 
The International Day of Education, observed annually on January 24, was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2018. It acknowledges education’s potency in attaining Sustainable Development Goals and empowering individuals and communities.
