HYPREP On Environmental Recovery

The Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) has reaffirmed its commitment to completing the Centre of Excellence, an environmental research center in Ogoniland, by 2025.

Project Coordinator Nenibarini Zabbey made this announcement at the quarterly meeting with the Ogoni people in Port Harcourt.

The Centre of Excellence is a critical component of HYPREP’s comprehensive plan to address environmental degradation in Ogoniland.

HYPREP’s initiatives align with the United Nations Environment Programme’s (UNEP) recommendations for the clean-up and restoration of Ogoniland.
