Senate asks Security Agencies to deploy aerial surveillance equipment to Plateau State

The senators, recognizing the gravity of the situation, proposed the necessity of a National Security Summit to strategize and formulate comprehensive solutions.
The Senate resolved to visit the victims of attacks and also observed a minute of silence before the plenary.

The Senate also asked the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to promptly direct its agencies to provide relief materials, especially building materials, facilitating the displaced individuals’ return home, and easing congestion in IDP camps.
Moreover, the Upper Chamber highlights the importance of security infrastructure by urging the Inspector General of Police to finalize the construction of the Mopol Barracks in Barkin Ladi local Government Area, a move aimed at bolstering security in the region.
