Sesan Adelabu, a Petroleum Products Merchant in Akure, Tragically Ends His Life

products merchant operating in Akure, Ondo State, reportedly committed a heinous act by viciously ending the life
of his wife, Bolu Adelabu, within the confines of their residence located in the Alagbaka GRA area of the city on
Friday. Following the appalling incident, Adelabu, who was often referred to as Emirate due to his commercial
enterprise, allegedly succumbed to his own demise by ingesting a toxic substance believed to be an insecticide.

The distressing revelation unfolded when an officer from the Special Protection Unit stationed at Adelabu’s abode
in Akure received a distress call from the deceased’s son. The son expressed his inability to establish contact
with his father despite repeated attempts to reach him via telephone. Upon entering the premises, the law enforcement
officer stumbled upon a chilling scene: Adelabu’s lifeless body sprawled on the floor of the lavatory, juxtaposed
with his wife’s lifeless form discovered on the bed, exhibiting multiple lacerations inflicted by a machete,
alongside an empty container of insecticide nearby.

police intervention ensued, leading to the removal of the deceased individuals’ remains to the mortuary for further
